You Don't Need Drugs!
I've been on a "steroids vs natural" rant lately...
I've been a lifetime drug-free trainer/trainee...and I'm certainly proud of it. I have nothing against MOST guys/gals that use drugs to build their physiques....that's a personal choice. And I try not to be too judgmental..."try" being the operative word. When I do catch myself judging someone who is apparently using, I try to shift my gears to something more positive because, after all, the negative judgement really is just coming from a place of trying to make myself feel better about being natural.
But when someone asks me about going on, I try to steer them far from it as possible! I don't hammer at the morality of it, but I do try to make them realize that if they do go on, they’re starting something that will be very hard to stop.
If you build your body on drugs, you don’t OWN it....it's on LEASE.
Kind of like leasing that sexy sports car. I don't care which one...take your pick...Lambo? Ferrari?
Sure it will make you feel POWERFUL.
Sure it will make you feel RESPECTED.
Sure it will make you feel like you are ON TOP.
How are you going to feel when you have to trade it back in for that Toyota Camry?
If you think leasing power, respect and status is a good idea, you need to get your priorities straight! If you don't, you’re going to go into depression. And if you think you had any sort of complex before your drug use? HA! Wait until you have to come off!!!
You Need to Ask Yourself, “Is it worth it?”
Let’s take a logical look at pros and cons and what taking drugs to build your body actually entails.
The PROS are:
- get bigger muscles in less time and with less effort.
The CONS have much more weight and severity to them:
- their damn expensive! Especially if you’re buying the REAL stuff (not that underground black market crap that requires you to take 4x as much to get any sort of a response.)
Well, if you are doing it correctly, not only do you have to pay for the drugs, but you WILL do multiple cycles, you SHOULD find someone to advise you and manage your blood work, and you'll WANT to take all the measures to try to hide it and cover up the side effects (pimples, the gyno/bitch tits, etc).
And what about when people find out? Are you ready for that?
Will you be like the vast majority of people and just lie? You think you are pulling the wool over people's eyes, but as soon as your back is turned, you aren't only being talked about as the guy/gal using gear, but you are also being looked down upon because you couldn't own up to it.
Can you could mentally handle it?
I think the best route is to put all of your energy into learning how to train optimally. Stop looking at the freaks on the covers of magazines. Stop taking advice from the juicehead at your gym. Start looking at people who’ve done it drug free and make that your reality.
I can promise you this...deep down inside, drug users will ENVY a natural guy/gal like you. They won't admit it...but secretly they do.
They have taken a certain path in a chase for identity, respect, fame, power, money, girls/guys, etc - all on LEASE. And they can't stop.
YOU don’t need drugs to have any of those things! You may have to be a little more patient...and smarter. But you can have all of it!
What I Want YOU to Do Right Now
Take a look at yourself.
Measure your progress.
Have you taken notice of the gains you’ve made already?
A lot of people don't see how far they've come because they're only looking at what they haven't achieved yet.
Change your perspective...and realize the progress that you have made. And realize that you have not even reached your full potential yet. You are on a journey where you can improve each and every day!
I've said this before and I'll say it again...
Transforming your body is NOT a competition against others.
The ONLY person you’re competing against is YOURSELF.
